IT and Food sectors co-operate across Øresund
The food industry increasingly demands advanced IT solutions, and especially business intelligence is an area calling for attention. Øresund IT has therefore established a new network of excellence, where the IT and Food sectors meet. The network builds on the activities of the Virtual Food Factory project, done in cooperation with Øresund Food Network. Today they meet for the first time to discuss BI solutions.
IKEA Food Services and Tetra Pak are among the participants, who are going to discuss the specific needs of the food industry.
- We are very enthusiastic about the network being a reality. We find great opportunities in a future cooperation with the IT industry and have major expectations to how they can develop solutions that fit the food industry’s needs, says Lars Rahbek from IKEA Food Services AB.
There has long been a need for knowledge sharing in the Øresund Region. Øresund IT has therefore established the network in order to strengthen the region’s leading position within Information Management.
